“While being physically present may not be an option right now due to COVID-19, there are still many other ways to #BeThere for someone else. In honor of Suicide Prevention Month, we’ll be releasing a series of graphics that will list the 5 action steps you can take to help someone else while still physically distancing. If you think someone might be considering suicide, don’t be afraid to take the first step and #BeThe1To ask. Ask them directly, “Are you thinking about suicide?” This communicates that you’re open to speaking about suicide in a non-judgmental and supportive way.”
